Handmade at the Bags of Love studio, every pair of espadrilles is unique and special, as they are made for you and designed by you. Your new espadrilles created are carefully made by our team of craftsmen and technicians. Thanks to our design interface, you can personalise every part of your new wedge, so the whole shoe is covered in your photos, artwork or text. Made from our cool and breezy Haverstock canvas, you will love to wear these chic shoes in the summer, as the fabric will help keep your feet feeling cool and fresh.

Care: We do not recommend putting your espadrille wedges in the washing machine, as the weave can unravel during the spin cycle. Clean by hand only. We suggest leaving dirt or mud to dry before trying to remove. Use a damp, soapy cloth to wipe the canvas and leave to dry.

How We Make Your Own Espadrilles

Years of experience crafting personalised shoes have given us the tools we need to create a stunning pair of wedges. Your espadrille wedges are printed through and through. It starts with our stylish and vintage feel Haverstock canvas. This breathable and airy fabric is used to create the exterior of your shoes. Once you have designed all 6 areas of (each) of your shoes, technicians print your photos into the fibres of the Haverstock canvas. This locks in the ink and creates a permanent print that will not rub off or fade over time. Once printed, your heels are cut and stitched to perfection. You can opt for the natural or black finish, which includes the bias, laces, binding, lining and eyelets. We line the wedges with cooling cotton drill and for the insole, there are two choices; printed fabric or unprinted leather. For a totally vegan shoe, please select the fabric option. Once the shoes have been cut, stitched and shaped, it is bonded and sewn onto the natural jute wedge. Its sole is specially made for us in Spain. This gives your shoes a lovely vintage vibe.

The finished look is one of a classic espadrille wedges with a contemporary twist. The lace up detail is fresh and youthful and the inclusion of your photos and designs helps turn these shoes into a real style statement.

Do You Have Any Design Tips Or Ideas?

You can make your own espadrilles in several areas, which means your photos will cover the entire body of the shoe. It is important to consider the style of the shoe when uploading your photos. For example, key details should be kept as centred as possible and away from the edge. This way, they will not get incorporated into the stitching. It is also important to consider the eyelets when uploading your design, as these could take away details, if printed in the same area. The wedge of your heeled espadrilles is made from natural jute, so think about what colours would work best to complement this. As you can print on the tongue, remember that the laces will cover a portion of it up, so perhaps stick to a pattern or block colour for the tongue. Logos or a message work great for printing on the inside of the tongue.

Create a shoe with a lot of personality. These heeled espadrilles can be personalised in several areas, so make sure take full advantage. A mix of photos and designs look particularly good on your new wedges. Try uploading a favourite photo onto the main body of the shoe and then a complementary design onto the toes. If your photo is summer themed with a beach, then a cute stripe design featuring beach hut colours would look beautiful.
