What is Leatherette Fabric?
Your leatherette fabric is a stunning faux leather material, that has all the natural charm of real leather, but contains no animal product. The white PVC face has a chic matte finish, with a slight sheen, which is very reminiscent of real leather. However, there are no animal products used in in this material, and it is completely vegan. If you are looking for leatherette material for upholstery, then this is perfect for you. It passes to BS5852: 2006, ignition source 5, when used with a Schedule 3 Flame Retardant Interliner, making it both safe and suitable to use on upholstered fabric. The gorgeous texture of the material does not interrupt the lines of your design, and instead, gives them extra character and charm. Printing on Leatherette Fabric – How it Works
This beautiful faux leather material is a new favourite of ours, thanks to its unique qualities and charming characteristics. Our print specialists use a method called dye sublimation, which bonds the ink to the fabric, thus creating a permanent and vibrant print on the slightly warm white base tone.
When you design your own leatherette fabric, you will have the option to choose from 4 different edge finishes; hemmed with black thread, hemmed with white thread, cut on the line, or left in its natural form. If you prefer a neat edge, please opt for the cut on the line option.
How to care for your Leatherette Fabric
In order to keep your fabric looking and feeling its very best, we recommend wiping it clean only. If you fabric gets a little dirty or dusty, simply wipe clean with a damp cloth and a mild soap solution.
