Information about Cotton Twill Fabric
Our cotton twill fabrics might be made from natural fibres, a poly-blend of textured spun yarns, but they have the soft texture and appearance of cotton. Despite being soft to handle, the medium weights gives them structure, so they're great for upholstery or making furnishings. The classic twill detailing is so elegant and refined, giving your handmade creations the ultimate finish. Some are woven using a plain twill weave, whilst others have a diagonal twill weave, so you can find the right one for your creative project. Our twill printing process is dye sublimation, fusing the ink deep into the fibres so you know your design will be rich, long-lasting.

How Does Twill Printing Work?
We use a specialist dye sublimation print process to guarantee the ink fuses deep into the fibers. This ensures your design won't peel away or scratch off, as it's printed directly into the lookalike cotton twill fabric, not on top. Even though these fabrics have a distinctive weave pattern that lets in a little bit of light, this doesn't affect your design, and details are printed to perfection.
*If you need the edges finished to a certain degree, then please select one of the four options in the design interface: cut on the line for precision, hemmed with white thread, hemmed with black thread or simply left as it is so you can finish it at home.
How to Care for Your Printed Twill
These are easier to care for than traditional cotton twill fabric, that needs extra pampering. Machine wash at 30°c, tumble dry on medium or hang to dry, and iron on a low heat. If you're using your canvas twill fabric for upholstery or crafts, it's relatively low maintenance so just treat it kindly like you would any fabric to keep it clean and in tip top condition.
What Else Can You Make With Cotton Style Printed Twill Fabric?
Due to the nice balance between soft and sturdy, it's a popular choice for making cushions. It's suitable for curtains too, but we'd suggest attaching a blackout lining as these fabrics do let some light through when held up to the light. You could also make a bolster cushion or door stop to add a touch of elegance to everyday household items. You could even use it for adding some applique onto clothes to bring them to life, or make cute little twill labels for your craft/hobby business.
